"Solve for Baptism"

What's up everybody?! 

This week was sick, because our homie Edward got baptized! It was a sweet service and the spirit was way strong. Edward is a dope guy, he has changed so much since he's started investigating I love that guy. 

There was like a million missionaries at the baptism it was pretty funny. This ward is pretty whack and there's only like 3 members that support the missionaries and recent converts, but it was still good. Our Ward Mission Leader is a baller at least. 

So the baptism was good, Edward's grandma came and she is a sweet old Mexican lady. her name is Norma and I told her that I have a grandma named Norma and she was like freaking out and saying all this stuff in Spanish I couldn't understand but I think she liked the baptism. 

Some other cool stuff that happened was that our investigators Cynthia, Even, and Romeo all came to church. Cynthia even got up during sacrament and bore her testimony it was awesome and super spiritual. 

So this week was sick and we had a lot of good things happen. We should be baptizing our African homies on the 28th, that'll be awesome. 

So tomorrow Elder Obray and I have been working on our Training for zone conferences and it it's pretty lit not goona lie. We were asked to train on "Common Concerns" and we kind of took like a mathmatical approach and made a formula and are using a ton of examples from PMG and Alma 18 it should be pretty good. I'm excited to give them. 

Other than that, not a lot to report on. It's been a real good week. Everyone is progressing good, and Edward got baptized, he's one of the coolest people I've taught out here. I'm way happy for him.

I got to go back to Ankeny for a few hours the other day and it was pretty cool. I miss the Ankeny wards like none other. They are the GOATs.

What's up Everybody?

I hope you all had a great week! Not goona lie though, it probably wasn't as good as ours here in Nauvoo. ;)

This week was the GOAT cause we baptized Kraig and Kraig is the GOAT. Look at his stats. 

-Has Read BOM completely twice.

-Has read all of D&C

-Has read all of the Pearl of Great Price

-Studied for Over 4 months

-Been inside the Nauvoo Temple (lol, whoops)

-Confounded a Basher

Kraig is basically the Micheal Jordan of Investigators. He's as solid as a rock. He's a man of few words, but his testimony speaks for it's self. I love this guy. I was honored that he asked me to Baptize and Confirm him. Such a sweet moment to share with a guy as cool and humble as my man Kraig. 

So the Baptism was definitely a highlight of the week. We had a lot of other awesome things happen as well. 

Monday- We had P-day in Nauvoo and played ball. 

Tuesday- We had another good day, we taught our investigator Jazmine with a member and it was one of the best lessons I've ever had. The spirit was so strong.

We also had Stake Coordination with President Badger and President Church the Nauvoo Stake President. We discussed the Missionary work in our Zones and in the Stake. IT was a great meeting. Those two men are spiritual giants!

Wednesday- We had our last District Meetings of the Transfer. We had testimony meetings to end both meetings and there were some powerful experiences share and testimonies born. That night a member took us on exchanges to the Nauvoo hotel, probably the best buffet in the world. After that we interviewed Elder Esplin's investigator for baptism it was awesome! Then we went to pageant after with our investigator!

Thursday- We were on the grind all day finding new investigators and getting people ready to come to Church. We met with Kraig and got him ready for his baptism as well. 

Friday- We cleaned the font and worked hard throughout the day to get people at church and invited all of our investigators to the baptism. That night we went to the British pageant again with our Recent convert alex and his mom. It was awesome, the British pageant is so spiritual and teaches a ton of doctrine. It's awesome. 

Saturday- BAPTISM LES GOOOO!

Sunday- Our investigator Jazmine came to Church and brought her 3 kids as well. The ward did a great job of welcoming her and fellowshipping her. One family even invited her over for dinner, it was awesome. The Burlington ward is lit. 

Jazmine is now on date for Sept. 9th so I'm pumped. Pray for her she's the bomb! 

On a sad note this will be my last time emailing from the Nauvoo Zone. It's been a party here and I've loved every second of it. The last 6 months have been the best of my life, NOTHING beats serving here in Nauvoo. 

We find out where I'm transferring to tomorrow morning. But there's a rumor that a return to a certain city could be on the cards ;) we'll see next week.

More Baptisms, More Car Crashes

What's up world?

This week was really dope. We saw a ton of awesome things happened and we survived yet another vehicular mishap. So to start of this week we had a pretty good P-day, we did the normal drive up to Mt. Pleasent to give the Hermana's their car to drive to P-Day. So we have a nice chill day, have dinner with a member and all that good stuff. So while this is all going on, we had 2 other Elders with us so Elder Zinn could interview our Investigators for their Baptism this weekend. So we are driving to this interview in the Elders truck, and Elder Zinn mistook a 2-way stop for a 4-way stop. So we got T-Boned by a guy going like 45ish haha. It was pretty scary. Their Truck is pretty messed up but luckily we are all fine. The bad news is that now our car is in the shop, and now so is their truck. So we have one fully operational car in the District, which is like a 1.5 hour drive from one end to the other haha. So trying to coordinate everybody and make sure they get to where they need to be has been super stressful and annoying but it's chill. 

On the Bright side we had some awesome things happen. 

-First and foremost Zak, Evan, and Donovan were all baptized on Saturday! It was probably one of the funniest baptisms I've ever been to. The boys were pretty crazy and funny. After I baptized Evan and Donovan, all the boys tried to jump back in the font and take a celebratory swim. It was hilarious.  Their Mom our Recent convert Kara was there as well and she loved it. I'm so happy we were able to help complete the King family! I love this family! 

- We had the chance to meet up with President Badger and President Church (The Nauvoo Stake President) two spiritual giants in my book. We got to discuss the missionary work in the Nauvoo Zone and how we can be the most effective leaders as possible. If you've ever seen the movie "Money Ball" that's what it felt like in there. Expect we weren't talking baseball we were talking baptisms. 

-Here's a funny story. So we tried to go get an estimate on the Elders Truck. So it got towed to some lot cause it's not drive-able so we follow the address and it takes us to the middle of no where. We got there and it's this super sketchy scrap yard place and the owners literllay looked like they were straight outta Texas Chainsaw Massacre. It was a fun experience. 

Well transfer calls are tomorrow so I'll hopefully be able to get the word out where I'm going or if I'm staying before next monday. I'm hoping I stay. B-town has been by far my favorite area everything about here is dope. But since I love it so much it'll probably be my only two transfer area cause ya know, missions.

Baptisms in B-town

Greetings!!!

Well this week has been great! We had a baptism, we caught someone pulling a gun on someone else on video, and I just low-key found out all of the transfer doctrine for our whole mission before transfers. Two Words: WACK

Well yeah this week has been crazy. We've been running around trying to get everything set up for Kara's Baptism and also trying to get investigators to attend the baptism as well! It was a super stressful week and we felt like it felt like we didn't have half the time we needed to get everything done. But the Lord definitely helped us out big time. 

Man we had a lot of funny events happen this week though. First we saw two ghetto guys almost get in a shoot out. Captured on video by the way. #NightCrawler

One other thing that happened this week was we went on exchanges with the Hamilton elders. Elder McCain and Elder Zinn. So Hamilton is interesting place. It's very anti and all the people "Know everything" About the Mormons already. Safe to say we met some delightful people that day :) We also had a water bottle filled with urine thrown at us! LOL. It was a fun day in good ole Illinois :)

Okay the most important thing that happened this week was that we had another great BAPTISM!! It was tight stuff. Kara did amazing. We also had two awesome investigators there as well! It was a great moment! I got to confirm her the next day and it was another great experience! 

But yeah it's been a good week. I love the work here in B-town. I also just found out my new comp is the one and only...Elder Eckes Anitok Jr. aka one of my bestfriends in the mish. I'm excitied to serve with my crazy Hawaiian brotha. But I'll miss my freakishly tall Gundy for sure :(

Beggars Night

What's up family? The week here in Ankeny/North Des Moines has been pretty fun. We had a lot of stupid things happen this week but we've just been finding the humor in them. For example on Tuesday we had to take our car in because it was being stupid (classic Chevy) and the car dealer ship was way out of our area and literally in the middle of nowhere. So we got stuck at the random Chevy dealership for like 4 hours with nothing to do. It was super frustrating, but what can you do I guess. 

The work was still really good this week. We found 5 new investigators that are looking pretty solid. So that's way exciting. We had a big bummer this week though, Madi's mom officially closed the door on baptism in the foreseeable future. Her mom came to Church this Sunday and Madi even bore her testimony and it was soooo spiritual! I don't know what else we gotta do to get through to this woman!!

So that whole situation is frustrating, I don't think I've ever wanted to get someone baptized as I do with Madi. We've been pulling out all the stops too, like I've never tried so many different things to soften someone's heart! But anyways Madi is great she will be getting baptized, it's just a matter of when. 

On the positive, my African babes are doing GREAT! They are so awesome, the twins got up and bore a tag-team testimony on Sunday and it made me soooo happy. I literally love those girls so much they are the BEST. They're doing so good we moved their baptism up to November 12th! So we should be baptizing all three of the girls in a few weeks! So awesome. I'm pumped. Most exciting thing that happened this week was... my investigator in CR Jasmine got Baptized!!!! I was bummed I couldn't go back for it. But I'm so excited for her, she is the best. I can't wait to see her again.

Nothing too funny happened this week, Yesterday was beggars night. So everyone trick or treats for two hours from 6-8 the night before Halloween that way on Halloween all the parents can go get wasted and not have to worry about spending time with their children. Iowa :)

Flash Floods and Gang Wars

Hey Guys, this week was pretty crazy. 

The work was pretty slow this past week which is frustrating, but we still found people to teach and had a lot of fun a long the way. We found 3 really cool people this past week that we are working with the first is a guy named Fabrice, he's a super cool guy from West Africa. We taught him the Restoration and he's supposed to be coming to Church this week so hopefully that works out and he keeps progressing! The second person we found was a guy named Zeb. So sometimes when I'm sick of just knocking doors and I want to find people to go teach I just look through all the old investigators in the area book, so I found this guy named Zeb, and his record was totally full. But it looked like he just dropped off the map. So we called him and he came to Church! We are now teaching him and his family. They are all really awesome, we are trying to figure out some legal issues he has right now. But if everything goes well he should be getting baptized ASAP. The last person we found was a lady named Saje, she's the girlfriend of a cool new member that just moved to the Ward from Philly. I'm stoked to work with her, we are working on getting them Married and then we can baptize her! I feel like a part time lawyer with all these legal issues I'm trying to figure out, I have to call our Mission President every other day it seems like lol.  

Alright crazy stuff:

1. So we had more crazy weather, we were on our way to teach our Recent Convert Kayla at the Library, but as we were driving it just started dumping rain! It turned into a flash flood real quick and we were driving through the road and the water was like a third of the way up our tires it felt like. The video I'll send dosn't really do it justice, I'll give a lot of credit to the city of CR. It may be one of the most dirty cities in the world, but it's drainage system is really well orchestrated.

2. Ok this was insane. So two of the Sister's in my District were stopped at their apartment to take a phone call and when they went outside, there was cops every where and ambulances and firetrucks! Turns out there was a shooting outside their apartment! Pretty crazy! I was jealous they got to have one so close lol. But President Badger told them they are going to have to move in with members so that's too bad for them haha. 

3. On Saturday the ZL's baptized Isiah (the chubby kid that got hit with the truck) we went because I interviewed Isiah and have taught him a few times, so I was pretty excited to see him get baptized. So the thing with Isiah is he is crazy. Like ADHD x1000 when I interviewed him for his baptism he was jumping from chair to chair, and I had to calm him down and get him to draw his answers to the questions on the board so he'd focus lol. But he did not want to get dunked infront of all these people so he was panicking and during the whole lead up to the baptism he was like "Nope I'm not doing it, I can't. I'm not going in." 

So we get him in the font and he's like freaking out so they shut the doors to the font so no one can watch, and they needed me to witness and I walk back there and Isiah is like swimming around the font, so the member who's supposed to baptize him just says the prayer and pushes him down under the water it was so funny. By far the craziest baptism I'll ever see probably.

Bickin' Back Bein Bool

What's up everyone? I hope you all had a dope week. This past week has been really good, Elder Esplin and I are starting to get a lot of lessons and find quite a few people to teach which is always exciting, especially with a brand new missionary, it's always a lot of fun! Two really cool things happened this week. First our awesome Investigator, Omar from Jerusulam came to Church! He really liked it too, I was so pumped for him to be there! He made a lot of great comments in class too which was good to see. Second I got to baptize an awesome lady Geri, she was working with the Sisters in our Ward and I did her baptismal interview, she asked me to baptize her and I was honored! She's a great lady! 

My mind always goes blank when I sit down to write these emails, probably cause I live in a watered down frat house with 4 other Elders that go crazy on "P-Day eve" and keep me up all night lol. I've been using the list approach lately so Imma stick with that.

1. So I've been noticing this trend, whenever we are in or near the Ghetto, all the ghetto folk will roll up next to us at the stop. So I can here that their music isn't that loud coming up but whenever they stop next to us they are just Bumpin'. Then they drive off and they turn down the music, I don't know if they are trying to mess with us or they just feel bad cause they know I miss my rap. But anyways these two ghetto dudes roll up next to us and start blaring their music and look over at me and I just started vibing to the music and they just lost it, one of the guys is like "Oh (explicit) nahh mannnn!", and he pulls out his phone and I'm pretty sure he took a video. So if any of you are on Vine and see some video of a missionary dancing on the side of the road it's probably your's truly. :)

2. Elder Esplin and I almost died in a crazy micro burst-tornado-typhoon-Iowa Storm. It was probably the craizest storm I've been in to date. Pretty awesome, we were going like 40 down the freeway trying not to crash it was dope. 

3. Elder Esplin and I got hit on by this girl at the Community College, it was his first time being hit on as a Missionary, he got all flustered. So cute. 

4. I lost What Are The Odds and that's why my subject line is the title of a 2chainz song, thanks Elder Davis!

5. I also lost the same game and now I have to use katy perry lyrics in my homecoming talk. So that gives you all something to look forward too in the next year and a half!

Ok that's pretty much all I got, shoutout to my awesome Nephew Parker for getting baptized this past Saturday! So proud of you dude, you're my HERO!!

6. So we were sitting outside watching the bands play at the bar on Friday night (Lol) but anyways Elder Davis was like "Man you know what sounds good, Pizza." Then we were like what if we just ordered pizza guys? Then this domino's car drives up and we were like "Guy's it's for us watch" (totally jokingly) then this African guy gets out and says he has a pizza for me! Shoutout to the Grieves for coming in clutch and answering our Prayers! I love you Curtis and Andrea!!

Hey everyone! This week was really really good! Probably one of my favorite weeks I've had on my Mission no doubt. It was probably Elder Hansen and I's last full week together :( so we knew we were going to have to go out in style, and we did our best. 

The Best thing that happened this week was...KAYLA GOT BAPTIZED!!! #HALLELUJAH it was so amazing! Her baptism went of without a hitch, except I had to dunk her twice because her hair didn't go all the way under lol. Just another reason for me to hate pony tails! In all seriousness though it was one of the most spiritual experiences I've ever had to be able to baptize Kayla. She is one of the coolest people I know and I'm so grateful that Heavenly Father touched her heart and made it possible for us to teach her. It was also great to be in the circle as Elder Hansen confirmed Kayla, and as she received the Gift of the Holy Ghost. 

Ok like I said Elder Hansen and I have been trying to work as hard as possible and try to have as much fun as possible before he get's transferred. So we were pounding the pavement quite a bit this past week, our Zone has been struggling with finding new Investigators the past few weeks. So our Zone Leaders challenged everyone to get five new Investigators this past week, which is a decently hard amount, even for Cedar Rapids but we went with it. Luckily through lots of Prayer and lots of knocking we were able to find seven new people to teach this week which was pretty cool! 

Ok so you guys know, I'm all about the funny stories; not saying I'm not about the Spiritual stuff, but I gotta talk about the funny stories they get me through the tough stuff lol.

Okay so we are driving with our ZL's to go see there Investigator (10 year old boy named Isaiah) but we are driving through this Ghetto back ally and all of a sudden we just see this beefy black boy on a bike cut out in front of us and he just gets NAILED by our truck.. by nailed I mean we were going a solid 4 maybe 5 mph but this kid went down. But one of our ZL's Elder Clark is like yelling and the kid stands up and all I here is "It's Isaiah, you hit Isaiah!" The ZL's literally hit their little Investigator with their car...lol. But we all get out and there's this Ghetto black guy watching the whole thing from his balcony and he yells across to Isaiah's house "Hey! They Hit your fat friend! They hit him with the truck!" Dude it sounds bad but I was dying it was so funny. Isaiah turned out to be all good though don't worry, he just scrapped his elbow. But the Cops came later and ran the ZL's ID hahaha. But Isaiah came to Church Yesterday so all good all gravy.

So the Friday before Kayla's baptism she gave us presents lol, she gave us everything we like so she gave me crazy American Socks (Because I always wear crazy socks, and because I always show her scriptures that talk about how America is the Choice Land lol) and she gave me my favorite candy, and blue powerade. But one thing she included were these thing's called "It Works Wraps" they are basically these things that people wear to get rid of fat, Hansen and I joked we wanted some for our faces. But she actually got us some, so last night Hansen and I put these wraps on our faces to try and get rid out of our potential double chins lol. Pictures to come.

Sister Kerr's Baptism

What's up world? This past week in Waverly has been off the chain, we were able to get a lot of good work done in our area this past week Elder Madsen and I have been working our butts off trying to build on the success we've been experiencing this transfer. One of the greatest blessings we were able to receive was finding three new investigators, now that may not seem like much, especially to my Spanish speaking comrades but In Waverly where we speak English (God's Favorite language as we like to call it) three people willing to learn more about the Gospel and accepting of the baptismal invite is a cause to rejoice lol! We are super grateful to have found these awesome people who are ready to hear the Gospel, and they were definitely all an answer to our prayers! Our first answer was we had been praying for a media referral the past week and on the last day of the week, we finally got one! It lead us to a young couple named Justin and Allie (Justin used to be married to a girl named Emily), they have a really cute daughter named Kaelyn, we have been searching for an awesome young family to teach and our prayers have finally been answered! 

But the blessings didn't stop there, on Saturday afternoon we were finding out in this powdunk town called Nashua (there's actually a famous song about Nashua, called "Little Brown Church") and we knocked on the door of this nice lady named Holly, we were teaching her the restoration on her doorstep and it started pouring rain. We almost stopped cause it was raining so hard but she told us she wanted to hear the rest, then she said she'd get baptized if she continued to feel the way she felt while we were teaching her! It was such a cool and spiritual experience! We are very excited to go back and teach her more about the Gospel, she is solid. Unfortunately I probably won't be in this area to see these people progress with transfers coming up, but I am so excited an grateful that the Lord has prepared them to receive the Gospel! 

My favorite part of this week however was by far, Sister Janette Kerr getting baptized! It was an awesome experience to see her enter the waters of baptism and recieve the gift of the Holy Ghost! I'm so happy for our new Branch President and his wife that they were able to have this amazing experience together. Also I'm so grateful that Janette was so willing and ready to receive the Gospel, I guess being married to a Branch President would be pretty helpful in that respect haha. I'm also so grateful for Heavenly Father making it possible for us to get her baptized and giving us our third great Convert in the Waverly area this year! 

It's pretty funny since our Branch hadn't baptized anyone in years, the former Branch President refused to set a goal with us, so technically we have a branch goal of "Zero". So whenever we have district meeting Elder Madsen and I like to say we are exceeding our yearly goal by "Three-Infinity" ;)

Baptisms and Bronchitis

Sup fam?! I hope that the past week was a good one for all of you! This week started off pretty rough but it really picked up towards the end. Halfway through the week we had to drive an hour to district meeting and I was feeling pretty under the weather, but I didn't think much of it and we went about the rest of our day normally. The next day I woke up and couldn't talk at all, and my throat was on fire. Then the grossest thing happened I started coughing up bloody snot during comp prayer haha! I felt like I had the plague and my companion had to call the doctor. I had to go in and be checked out, luckily it wasn't the plague, it was Bronchitis. So I got some antibiotics and had to stay in for two days because Sister Jensen said we couldn't go out if it was below a certain temperature. Safe to say, Elder Sjoblom and I had a bad case of cabin fever by the end of the second day. 

But I got better by Saturday and we were able to go out and do some work. And on Sunday my homie Quentrell was finally baptized! It was probably one of the best days I've had on the mission thus far, to see this young kid so full of faith finally get to enter the Lord's Kingdom on Earth was an incredible feeling for sure. I had the privilege of confirming Quentrell as a member of the Church and it was one of the most spiritual moments of my entire life! One of the best parts of the day however came after the baptism, Quentrell was talking to his Grandpa on the phone and I overheard the him saying "Grandpa I got baptized, do you know what that means? It means I'm clean again and can start over! And that Jesus and the Holy Ghost will always be with me!" Hearing such a powerful testimony out of ten year old kid who couldn't even pronounce the word "Nephi" when we started teaching him was such a humbling experience for me. It was really hard not to get emotional listening to how happy and enthusiastic he was about his baptism. People like Quentrell and his mom Sherry are the driving force behind what missionary work is all about. I had probably a hundred doors shut in my face before we found Sherry but I'd knock on a thousand more doors just to find a family as faithful and prepared as her and her kids. One of the first things we teach in the first lesson is that the Gospel blesses families. That's the truest statement you'll ever read, the gospel has done wonders for Sherry and her family and I'm so grateful that lord led us to her so he could bring her home.

Goin' to the Chapel, Gonna get Baptized

What's up everybody?! I hope you all had a fantastic week this week and that all you bums are enjoying March Madness (I'm going through withdrawals). We had a great week here in Waverly, jam packed with funny stories and most importantly the baptism of my home girl Sherry! Funny thing about Sherry is that some of you might notice that I have spelt her name at least three or four different ways since we have been working with her because my companion was adamant that it was spelled one way, then I was positive that it was spelled the correct way (cause I'm usually never wrong ;) ) And then the missionary that filled out her baptismal form spelled it a different way and we were convinced that it must of been that one and we were both wrong. But alas my instincts were corrected, I should of had more faith in my self I guess. Haha all joking aside, Sherry's baptism was quite the experience, to start off Elder Sjoblom and I had to wake up early to fill the font and when I turned on the spout, a GIANT spider fell out and almost landed on me! I straight up had a heart murmur, I hate bugs. But I killed it with the snow shovel and we were all unharmed. The actual baptism was amazing, Sherry was baptized by our Branch Mission Leader, who is a convert of only two years so it was a great experience for both of them! We are so excited for Sherry and her decision to enter the covenant of baptism and receive all the blessings that come along with it. We are also pumped because we have been teaching her nine year old son Quentrell (I didn't spell that one right my first time) who is straight dynamite, he just eats up the gospel and he loves to pray and is pumped for primary and cub scouts! We set a date for him to be baptized on April 9th and we couldn't be happier for him! 

This week has been one of the best on the Mish thus far no doubt. On Thursday I went on exchanges with one of our Zone Leaders Elder Devenport, he's a stud and we got to teach down in Cedar Falls. The night we were teaching was around the time when UNI (which is in Cedar Falls) hit the 3/4 court shot to win the game in the tourney so the whole town was lit haha. But my favorite experience was teaching three African families! None of them spoke English so we had to use little French phrases that Elder Devenport has picked up and basically just pointed at the Restoration and were like "Jesus. Christ. He. Loves. Us." it was super funny but the spirit was very strong as well. It made me jealous of my best friend in Africa who gets to teach these awesome people every day;) white people just aren't as receptive for some reason lol.

Sup fam!? I hope you all had an amazing week, we had a pretty momentous occasion this past week in that we finally got to break out the short sleeve white shirts..Holla! The weather the last few days has actually been decently tolerable and the whole town has been turnt, like seriously all of Waverly is partying, like people standout in the street and drink and talk till like 3 am, it's kind of weird lol. Another milestone this week was the completion of my first transfer! Only six more weeks till I am no longer a baby! Unfortunately with transfers coming it was time to say goodbye to my homies Elder Henderson, Elder Marte, and Elder Martinson. We went out in style though, on Tuesday night before p-day Elder Henderson called and was like "Yo Elders, do you guys have dinner plans?" (Funny cause we never do. Ever. But it's fine.) And then I was like "Good one Elder of course not!" So he invited us down to Cedar Falls and we ate at Texas Roadhouse for his last dinner in the area. We spent the night at their apartment and the funniest thing happened, Elder Devenport took his mattress and came running into the living room and yelled "Sleepover!" and tried to slide on the mattress on the leather couch and he slid off and drilled the book shelf and knocked over the supply shelf for the entire Zone! It was hilarious, Elder Henderson was so ticked hahaha. 

Missionary work wise the week seemed to be going pretty slow, we had to drop a few of our potential investigators and we were getting pretty frustrated. That was until Saturday night, Elder Sjoblom and I were "Finding" in Waverly and we both got this impression to go to this small town called Nashua that we hardly ever go to because it's so small. We both looked at each other and said it at the same time, it was freaky! So we drove a half hour to this little town and it was insane! We knocked into this guy named Deangleo and he invited us in and told us he's met a few missionaries before. We taught the restoration and he loved it! He and his wife Amy are now investigating the church and it was a huge testimony builder and really showed me that if you continue to work hard even through a long dry spell like the one we had. The Lord will bless you! After that we went to meet with Sherri, and our additional male who was supposed to come didn't show up (ugh) so we just talked in the hallway about her baptism coming up on Saturday. Then her son Quintrell came up to us and said "Hey I've made a decision, I wanna get baptized." It caught us both so off guard we were just like "Heck ya Q!!" we were so hype it was an insanely good night. And a huge encouragement after the rough past few weeks we've had. Well I hope you all have a great week, shout out to my Mom once again for hitting the big FIVE-ONE (I think)! Wish her a belated happy birthday for me if you didn't get too already!
